Hello, Namaste, Hola, Bonjour, Hallo, Ciao, Salaam, Ni Hau!
What is your favorite part about living in Chicago? Eating deep dish, attending a Cubs or White Sox game, swimming in our very own “ocean”? Here at Destination, one of our favorite parts is the diversity seen in our neighborhood, and we want to take a day to honor that!
Please join us in celebrating our diverse congregation on International Day, August 26th! We will be celebrating by hosting a potluck, showcasing some of the different languages in our church, marking a map with the history that makes up our church, dressing up, and praying for our church family around the world!
On theme with celebrating the world around us, we invite you to bring a dish for the potluck that represents your family background, a childhood favorite, or a cuisine you have been wanting to try.
Lunch #1 will occur right after the 1st service ends at 10:45 and food will be available until around 11:30/11:45.
Lunch #2 will occur right after the 2nd service ends at 12:30.
Click here to sign up with something to share during the potluck. If you aren’t able to bring a dish, no worries, we would still love to eat lunch with you!
If you are interested in reading a bible verse in front of the congregation in your native language during the service or have any questions, please let us know at events@destinationchurch.org.
