What is Share the Grace?
At Trinity Church, we aim to "Enjoy and Share the Grace of Jesus." Sharing the grace of Jesus includes looking for ways to spread the light of Christ in our city. We want to love our community well through our actions, words, and prayers.
What to expect: On the day/night of your Small Group, you will meet at the assigned location as a Group. Depending on the time of year, we will be handing out gifts to our neighbors and inviting them to join us at Trinity for upcoming special events. During this time we also encourage you to pray for our neighborhood and city and speak with people who may have further questions about our purpose in sharing gifts with the community. Share the Grace is a time each semester to focus outwardly as a community and invite our neighbors to join us in enjoying the grace of Jesus as part of our church community.
Current Partnerships & Past Share the Grace Events
While Share the Grace has transitioned into an outreach, evangelism, and prayer focus, we also believe in partnering with existing organizations and serving alongside their current efforts. In past years, Trinity has partnered with local organizations such as Sarah's Circle, an organization in the Uptown neighborhood that serves homeless or at risk women with daytime services- food, clothing, shelter, and housing, and Night Ministry, a local organization that serves homeless youth.
In 2019, Trinity launched a Prison Ministry in partnership with Chicagoland Prison Outreach. To join, click here!
Trinity is also currently working on partnering with local organizations to offer more regular, ongoing volunteer opportunities. We hope to launch a longer list in 2021! However, in the meantime we strongly encourage individuals to find ways to partner with local organizations personally.
